Rethinking urban landscape and public spaces
The laboratory focused the attention on the analysis of Cagliari’s different urban structures. We studied three different parts of the city that are characterized by degrade and isolation. The first one, in the historical centre, is characterized by a strong difference in height; the second one, is a plaza built in the beginning of the 20th century; the third one, is a peripheral popular district. We were asked to elaborate a unique solution with cheap and recycled materials for all the three areas, able to transform, with simple few elements like benches, pavements, distribution of the green, enlightenment and car parks the perception of the spaces.
